BENEFITS of LEARNING through EBI

Our goal is to assist FSBM churches in helping train servant-leaders for effective ministries.  We do this by providing affordable Bible college and seminary education at a fraction of traditional schools. Graduates are eligible to participate in Southern California Seminary commencement.  Students can apply up to 60 semester units towards a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Southern California Seminary  (located at Shadow Mountain Community Church in San Diego).

DEGREES OFFERED

DIPLOMA OF BIBLICAL STUDIES IN LEADERSHIP: (30 UNITS)
The diploma of Biblical Studies in Leadership (DBS) is designed to prepare church leaders and workers to effectively minister through the local church. Focus is on leadership, Christian living, Bible survey, church growth, theology, and ministry skills.  The DBS consist of 15 courses.

ASSOCIATE OF BIBLICAL STUDIES IN LEADERSHIP: (60 UNITS)
The Associate of Biblical Studies in Leadership (ABS) is designed to enhance ministry skills and biblical knowledge of Christian leaders.  This degree emphasizes leadership, evangelism, teaching and communication skills needed for effective ministry.  The ABS consists of 30 courses.  Upon completion of the ABS, students may transfer 60 units into the Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies degree of Southern California Seminary or go on to the Bachelor of Biblical Studies in Leadership program through Equip Bible Institute.

BACHELOR OF BIBLICAL STUDIES IN LEADERSHIP: (130 UNITS)
The Bachelor of Biblical Studies in Leadership (BBS) is designed to enhance ministry skills and biblical knowledge of Christian leaders.  This degree emphasizes preaching, leadership, evangelism, teaching and general education college level courses needed for effective ministry.  The BBS consists of 65 units.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Director for FSBM Centers: Noel De Guzman

Each course amounts to 2-hour units.  Centers are located at the following facilities:

• First Southern Baptist Church, Pasadena
• Westside Baptist Church, Los Angeles
• El Toro International Baptist Church, Lake Forest (Orange County)

The students are required to pay $50.00 per course (total amount per course is $75.00. $25.00 is through the sponsorship of FSBM) and $200.00 for graduation fee that includes cap and gown rental (this amount has to be paid before graduation).  Students are responsible to obtain the books required in each course.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. Submit and application and pastor’s endorsement.
2. Submit any transcripts of Contextualized Leadership Development (CLD), SBC Seminary Extension, or college courses you are planning to transfer to the EBI program.
3. Upon approval, pay the required tuition fee per course in the first four weeks of class meetings.
